Pornography case: Raj Kundra granted anticipatory bail; Relief from Supreme Court to Poonam Pandey, Sherlyn Chopra
Navi Mumbai, dt. 13 December 2022, Tuesday
Raj Kundra, Poonam Pandey, Sherlyn Chopra and Umesh Kamat, accused of spreading obscenity in the pornography scandal case, have got relief from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted anticipatory bail to all the accused. Apart from this, the court has ordered that everyone has to cooperate fully in the investigation. Also, if necessary, the investigation will have to be involved.
A few weeks ago, the Bombay High Court rejected Raj Kundra's plea seeking protection from arrest. Now the conditions of this anticipatory bail granted by the Supreme Court will be decided by the lower court.
Just last month, the Maharashtra Cyber Police filed a chargesheet against Raj Kundra, Sherlyn Chopra and Poonam Pandey in the pornography case. The chargesheet claimed that Raj Kundra shot pornographic films in five-star hotels around Mumbai and then sold them on OTT platforms. Raj Kundra did this deal in crores. Raj is said to have shot these films with Poonam and Sherlyn.
