Kriti Sanon: If you stay like stagnant water, your career will turn green

- When I get any movie offer, I think if I am a viewer, would I like to watch this movie or not? I listen to my wife's voice and decide accordingly.

It has been nine years since Kriti Sanon entered Bollywood. During this period he played mostly different types of characters. Kriti, who made her debut with 'Heropanti' in 2014, has showcased her talent by choosing challenging roles. Among them, viewers and critics were stunned to see the way she portrayed the role of a surrogate mother in 2021's 'Mimi'. She was awarded as Best Actress for this character. His work in the creature comedy 'Bhedia' which followed was also appreciated.

Kriti says, 'There have been very few films like 'Bhedia' in Hindi films. So I was sure that the audience would definitely like it. It was his VFX that impressed the audience. Last year was not auspicious for Hindi films. Bollywood films were flopping one after the other. In such a situation, the response received by this film can be said to be relatively good. After doing this film, my confidence has become higher.'

Although Kriti says that 'Bhedia' received a good response, the truth is that the film 'Bhedia' did not perform as expected at the box office. well

Kriti is sure that this year and the coming year will go well. Talking about her upcoming films, Kriti says, 'First of all this year I will have a family entertainer. I played a glamorous role in it. After that maybe 'Adipurush' will come. This will be the biggest film of my career. To be honest, I am already very proud of this film. Apart from this, my first action film 'Ganapat' will be released. In it, I've done extreme bike riding, bare-knuckle fighting and even wielding weapons. I am going to do a love story with Shahid Kapoor. This will be my first film with Shahid. I will be working with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu in 'The Crew'. Thus, the audience will get to see a trio of heroines in this film.'

Another thing has happened in these months. There is a lot of talk about Kriti having an affair with her 'Adipurush' co-star Prabhas, but Shani Kriti is not saying a word about it! Last year many Hindi films were successful. In such a situation, the filmmakers are also confused that what kind of films will the audience like? Naturally, actors also think seven times before choosing a film or their character. Kriti however does not agree with this. He says, 'How can you decide in advance what the audience will like and what they won't? That will be known only after the release of the movie. Every film has a time. While choosing a movie I don't think that a certain type of movie was released last year so this year I should do such a movie. I think about any movie not only as an artist but also as a viewer. When I get a movie offer, if I am a viewer, I also think about whether I would like to watch that movie or not. I am more forward by listening to my heart. Also, I never chose to do one type of character. After I did 'Bareilly Ki Barfi', I was constantly offered roles as a small-town girl, but accepted a war film like 'Panipat' and the female-oriented 'Mimi'. I want to continuously serve new roles to the audience. I don't want the audience to assume that I will be there when it comes to a certain type of role. If I act like this, the green will burn over me like stagnant water. The amount of work I have done so far is the same as the first puni in Pashera. I still have a long way to go.'
