- A water tanker was called during the shooting of 'Tip Tip Barsa Paani'. Its water was so cold that I developed a fever.
Hindi films used to have rain songs at one stage. Some of the romantic songs filmed in the rain are some of the memorable moments of Hindi films. One such song is 'Tip Tip Barsa Paani.. Paani Mein Aag Lagae..'
This song was filmed on Raveena Tandon in the movie 'Mohra' in the year 1994. Drenched in a yellow transparent saree, Raveena looked intoxicating in this song. Right now, Meghraja is not only in Mumbai, but all over Maharashtra, and Raveena is reminded of this song and the monsoons of her past.
Although the actress does not have a very good memory of the filming of this song, but after the popularity of the song, the actress must have felt that the trouble I went through was felt by the article. Recalling the shooting of this song, Raveena says that I wore a yellow saree in it. A water tanker was called on the sets to create a rainy atmosphere. Its water was cold and I got fever. However, at that time our priority was work. So I shot this song despite fever. She further says that I always make sure that I don't wear transparent clothes in my films and don't do unnecessary romance on screen, unless it is essential for the expression of the scene.
Sambharta says of his childhood days of Ravina Monsoon how wonderful those times were. At that time we were living in Juhu. Our house was right in front of the sea in Juhu. When it rained heavily, the roof of our building was filled with knee-deep water. Me and my brother swam in it wearing swimsuits. After that we went to Juhu Beach and built a sandcastle and waited for the rain to wash away the fort. We also used to play football and langdi on the beach. The actress further says that when it rained incessantly and the low-lying areas were flooded, school would be dismissed early. Our parents used to come to pick us up from school. While on Saturday and Sunday, the fun was somewhat different. During these weekend holidays we used to go to places like Mahabaleshwar, Khandala with our parents. Monsoons have always been very dear to me. Even today, my fascination with monsoons remains intact. In this season I like to go to my farm or village or trek. Recently I went to Tadoba forest. The entire forest seemed to have taken off a green sheet. The view was mind-blowing.
However, now Ravina does not rush here and there to enjoy the monsoon like before. He says that my husband Anil Thadani does not like to go on long drives in rainy season. He likes to sit in the fireplace and watch the rain and drink hot coffee, so we enjoy the rain at home. Also, since there are chiku, mango and coconut trees right at my doorstep, the view becomes pleasant in monsoon. My children enjoy getting drenched in the rain. We also have rainwater harvesting facility at our doorstep.
