Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor has left the comedy film with a double role. Shahid is said to have left the film due to differences between him and creator Anees Bazmee over some creative matters.

According to some reports, the film is now likely to climb the charts. However, sources close to Anees Bazmee said that Shahid's exit from the film did not stop the project. But, now the search for a new actor is going on. Rashmika Mandana has already been selected to play the heroine in this film. Now the actor who can pair up with Rashmika will be selected.

Shahid has been opting for action roles for some time now. Among them, he was surprised to choose this comedy film. The shooting of this film was supposed to start this month. However, later there was no movement regarding this film and many speculations were created. Finally, it was revealed that Shahid and Anees had a falling out over matters including the script of the film.

According to some other reports, Anees may now put this film aside and focus on completing 'Bhoolbhoolaiyya 3' with Karthik Aryan.
