69th National Film Awards: Veteran actor Waheeda Rahman has been honored with the Dada Saheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award at the National Film Awards. He was honored by the President of India, Draupadi Murmu. During this, tears were seen in Waheeda Rahman's eyes. Also, everyone present in the hall stood up and honored the actor and greeted him with thunderous applause.

I am where I am today because of my beloved film industry: Waheeda Rehman

After receiving the award, Waheeda Rehman thanked the President Draupadi Murmu, Union Minister Anurag Thakur and the jury members. After that, Waheeda said, I am feeling more honored. But where I am today is because of my beloved film industry. I have luckily got a lot of support from everyone including top directors, producers, film makers, technicians, writers, dialogue writers and music directors. Everyone has given me a lot of love.

Waheeda Rahman further said, finally there is the support of hair, costume designer and makeup artist. That's why I want to share the award with every department of the film industry, because they have given me a lot of love and support in the initial days. No single person can make a film, it needs everyone.
