12th Fail star Vikrant Messi apologizes, controversial comment on Lord Ram-Sita goes viral

Sometimes he talks about his early struggles and sometimes he mentions old mistakes. Recently, the actor apologized for his old tweets with cartoons of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita.

Vikrant Messi shared a tweet in April 2018 that featured a cartoon. In this cartoon, Sita was shown commenting on Ram devotees. The post recently resurfaced and Vikrant faced trolls for sharing it. Meanwhile whatever appreciation he got from the public through 12th Fail has now turned against him. Vikrant has since taken down the post and apologized to the Hindu community following a sustained backlash on social media.

He did not intend to defame Hindus

In his latest post, the actor wrote, “I want to say a few words through one of my tweets in 2018. It was never my intention to hurt, defame or insult the Hindu community but when I think about a tweet I made in jest. I also realize my mistake. This could have been said without including the cartoon printed in the newspaper.

In a new tweet on February 20, Vikrant said, 'I most humbly want to apologize to all those who have been offended, as you all know I have the utmost respect for all faiths, beliefs and religions. We all grow up with time and reflect on our mistakes'.

Vikrant's comment on Ram-Sita cartoon

In 2018, Vikrant shared a Lord Ram-Sita political cartoon in connection with the Kathua and Unnao rape cases. Which was in discussion at that time. In the cartoon, Mother Sita was seen holding a pad in her hand and telling about Lord Ram. In the caption of this post, I am very happy that I was abducted by Ravana and not by your devotees.
