National Award winning director Priyadarshan is considered as a successful director. His films have gained popularity in Bollywood as well as in the South. From his serious drama films like Heritage to Herapheri, Halchal, Hungama, Chupchu Ke, Garam Masala, Bhool Bhulaya, he has given excellent comedy films. He is currently busy making a sequel to his 2009 hit film Hungama. However, the work has stopped due to the current lockdown. The film is scheduled to release on August 20.

Priyadarshan had earlier approached Ayushman Khurana and Karthik Aryan for Hungama Two. But these actors did not show interest for this film. After this, Priyadars cast Mizan Jafri. Priyadarshan says that it seems that today's actors are feeling out of date.

"I did not meet Ayushman and Karthik but the concept of my film was heard by Ayushman, Karthik and Siddharth," Priyadarshan told the media. The trio refused to act in the film. I think these actors may not be interested in working with me as they may seem like an older generation director. Another thing is that I have been away from the Hindi film industry for the last five years.

Expressing displeasure with Ayushman and Karthik, Priyadarshan said, "It seems they had no interest." I don't like begging from actors, and I want to work with the same actors who trust me. Many times when you ask an actor to work in a film, he will talk to you respectfully, offer you coffee and avoid talking about the film. It means that they don't trust the person in front of them.

It is worth mentioning that in Priyadarshan's 30-year career, besides Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. He has made more than 3 films in Telugu. Most of the films have hit the box office.

Apart from Mizan Zafari, Hungama 2 will also star Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty and Parineeta Subhash from the South. The shooting of this film is almost over and the remaining shooting will be completed as soon as the lockdown opens.
