Shruti Hassan: 'Lockdown shooting experience scary'

Shruti Hassan was busy with music during Low Crowd. Now that the production of films has resumed, there is no doubt that singer-actress Shruti would like to go on the set again. Shruti is currently active in shooting for the Tamil film 'Laban', in which she is accompanied by Southern star Vijay Setupati. Some of the conversations that took place with him when the shooting of this film started in a part of Chennai ...

* The experience of shooting in an epidemic will not be completely different?

* Obviously it's scary and scary. If even one person becomes irresponsible, anyone with the virus can become a victim. We have seen that wearing a mask also makes a difference. It is not appropriate for us to sit at home without doing any work.

* Music has always been your first love, the attitude of acting students has now awakened?

* Not only music, in the beginning I was a bit different from acting. Music is the first form of my expression. I have also taken music classes, but I have never taken acting classes. But now, I have started accepting roles, which I am proud of, I think, my music would not have developed without my acting. Without it, 'my music would not have been able to flourish. As the years passed, the opposite of acting changed. I didn't think I had much idea of what I did in my first film, I was in a good position during the second project. My third project was Madhur Bhandarkar's film 'Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji' in which I learned a lot. This working experience proved useful. And my fourth project A.R. Murugadoss's film 'Nuam Artavu' seemed to be studying in 12th standard. People may laugh at the thought that I am Kamal Hassan's daughter, so why don't I think about it, but in reality, I was hardly on the set of the film and I didn't ask Kadiya Appa to recommend me. It is probably true that some people made an entry in the film world because of their surname, but the success or failure is associated with them.

* What do you think about the fact that many films are released on OTT now?

* People know the value of OTT in lockdown. But at the same time, it is equally true that it is a pleasure to watch films like 'Avengers' in theaters. In which the producers will suffer a lot. '

* Many actors and technicians are ready for pay-cuts.

* Many people take crores of rupees as remuneration, they can be ready for pay-cut. Heroines don't get paid that much. There is a stark difference between the remuneration of heroes and heroines. It took me about 30 years to realize this difference.
