Hollywood actor Sean Connery, 60, said goodbye to this funny world in his sleep on Saturday, October 31 in the Bahamas. Sean Connery started the James Bond series on the silver screen. Sean Connery was one of the reasons why Daniel Craig, the Bond franchise character, lived on screen for decades, believing that Sir Connery was the perfect James Bond who played the role of a clever, clever and handsome British Secret Service agent in seven Bond films. Connery played the role of a British agent with such perfection that the actors who played the role of James Bond after him were always worried about how to get their feet in the footsteps of Sean Connery.
Connery's last film was The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2006). The film was based on a comic book series by Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill. The film depicts the fictional characters of well-known literary works together saving the world. Very few cinema lovers remember that our Naseeruddin Shah was also in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Connery did justice to Alan Quaterman and Naseeruddin, the character of Captain Nemo in the film. As an actor, Nasirbhai is highly respected as a Hollywood actor. In an interview with an English daily, Shah recounted his memories with Sir Sean Connery during the shooting of the film.
Paying homage to Sean Connery, Naseeruddin Shah says, "For me, Sean Connery was the only bond. Other than that I can't imagine any other character in the role of Bond. I watched a few films of this franchise after Connery left Bond on the silver screen. But in all those films I only went to see the character of the villain. After Connery, I never cared who played James Bond. I vividly remember when I was in school I was like ‘Dr. No 'movie was seen. Before that I had read two books on Bond. Dr. After watching No, I felt as if Ian Fleming had described Sean Connery in his books, not Bond. I was so overwhelmed by his performance. '
When Connery's last film, The League of Extraordinary, was released in 2006, it did not receive a good response. Giving the reason, Naseeruddin says, "No one was happy in the shooting of the film. No discipline was seen on the set and the actors had to wait for hours for their shots. The film's director Stephen Norrington was given only one hit film in his whole life and his mind was filled with rye. I have my doubts whether the director may have read the film which was based on comic books.
Director Norrington was an arrogant and proud man. This led to a scuffle on set between Emmy and Sean Connery. Sometimes the tension was so high that we were all scared to stop shooting. The result of all these problems was seen in the film. I didn't like watching that movie at all. Shawn's last film should have been better than this. Today, I am deeply saddened that Shawn Connery's last film did not match his talent.
Sean Connery was a celebrity and he maintained that status with great decency and instinct. Talking about it, Naseeruddin Shah says, "My assumption was that Shaun Saheb would be instinctive and would not take pride in being a superstar on the set. He didn't let my expectations fall short. All the actors in the film were impressed by her acting and personality. They knew, but they never let pride get in the way. Great people don't even have to do that.
Usually celebrities never show interest in another person but Connery did just the opposite. When they talk to anyone on the set, they show a lock to know about it instead of shouting at their boss. This was one of his exceptional qualities. They never left the set during the shooting. After her shots were released, she would sit down to give a cue to her dialogues. Such a fearless act is unthinkable for today's so-called superstars. '
Nasir Bondi said that after the role of an actor became very popular, the character's influence on his performance would not last without it. So they will be remembered by most people as James Bond. Yet he ventured out of his comfort zone and into other roles. He showed such courage when the sun of his career as Bond was shining. Being a native of Scotland, the Scottish accent of words never gave up on him and yet he acted as if he had won an Oscar. I really liked his performance in some films. Sean Connery was the ultimate 'personality actor' like Man Clint Eastwood.
