Oh no, Aamir! .

- This is the first time in his career that Aamir Khan's acting has disappointed the audience. The detractors are fine, Aamir's fans are still upset after seeing 'Lal Singh Chadha'.

It happened as the entire film industry was afraid of. For the past few weeks, the wickets of Bollywood's most 'A' list heroes were falling one after another, so all eyes were on Aamir Khan. There was a glimmer of hope in everyone's mind that even though all others failed at the box office, Aamir Khan would hit such a solid six that Bollywood's sun of happiness would rise again. Quite the opposite happened. 'Lal Singh Chadha' was released to great acclaim and even the people of the Hindi film industry went wild.

The audience rejected this film made at a cost of 180 crores even before watching it. Failure to collect on the first day simply means that Aamir's star-power has waned.

Now comes the most shocking thing. Some of the people who saw the film liked the film as a whole, some thought it was okay, but one thing the audience and film reviewers all agreed on: if anyone has done the weakest act in 'Lal Singh Chadha', it is Aamir himself. Mona Singh playing the role of his mother has given a beautiful performance, Kareena Kapoor is also funny, Even the child actors are good. The 'weakest link' of the entire film is Aamir himself!

Many of Aamir's films have flopped in the past, but even in these failed films, Aamir's performance has been good. It is the first time in his 34-year career that Aamir's performance has not been universally liked. Check out Aamir's filmography. He started out as a chocolate loverboy. Starting from 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' (1988) till 'Raja Hindustani' (1996) he remained a cute cute loverboy. Even in 'Rangila' (1995) he became a cute tapori. Then came 'Sarfarosh' in 1999. He became a police officer for the first time. We are used to seeing male heroes like Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna in the role of cops. Either the tall and wide hero or the five-and-a-half feet actor. Everyone assumed that Aamir would be a hit in this film. That didn't happen. Aamir proved quite convincing in the role of a police officer and that too against an acting emperor like Naseeruddin Shah. The film was also good. Be it a male freedom fighter in 'Mangal Pandey' (the film is poor, but Aamir is good), a violent lover suffering from mental illness in 'Ghajini', a genius collegian in 'Three Idiots' - Aamir has consistently impressed audiences with his performances.

...and then came 'Lal Singh Chadha'! In this film, he has become a very naive, very innocent person, whose mind is a little slow and who has nothing to do with worldliness. In 'PK' too, his character was innocent and pure, but this character was an alien, while Lal Singh is a Punjabi gangster. While watching 'Lal Singh Chadha' you constantly remember the character of 'PK'. Ditto eye widening, blinking, ditto gestures. Probably for the first time in such a long career, Aamir's performance felt fake. Especially in scenes with de-aging youth. It is still fine in the scenes with the bearded Sardar. However, the way he does 'A.... A...' while speaking is not at all funny. How can Aamir fail as an actor like Aamir! And that too at this stage of career?

There is no need to talk about the destruction that has happened in the terrorist track of the film. No inquiry after the hoofed Pakistani terrorist was picked up alive by Lal Singh and admitted to the army hospital? Should it be left to them? How can a captured terrorist compete freely in India, become a businessman and start earning crores of rupees? And then Tess goes back to Pakistan of his own free will? The limit is reached! It is true that Atul Kulkarni is the writer of the film, but there is no way that Aamir will silently act according to what Atul writes and what the director says! Aamir's full involvement in the story and screenplay of the film. This terrorist gimmick is one of the major reasons why 'Lal Singh Chadha' has fallen flat.

Come on, okay. Let's hope that after the experience of 'Lal Singh Chadha', Aamir will understand his mistake.
