- Rakesh Rashan's vision is not working in the new generation
- Willingness to hand over the helm to a director with an understanding of modern film making technology
Mumbai: Hrithik Roshan is looking for a new generation director to replace his father Rakesh Roshan for Krrish 4. Hrithik is looking for a director who understands modern film making on the lines of films like Baahubali 2, RRR and KGF.
Hrithik's career was built by his father Rakesh Roshan and he has been the creator of many super hit films including his debut film.
However, Hrithik is making a lot of changes in his plans for Krrish 4 after the kind of films that have come out and succeeded in the last three-four years and also the way big star films have failed in recent months.
Hrithik feels that since Krrish 3 came out in 2013, there has been a lot of change in the audience's interest. People are watching content from all over the world due to OTT. In these circumstances, old style film making cannot work. Hence he is looking for a director with a modern sensibility.
However, as Rakesh Roshan is counted among the very best filmmakers, he will continue to guide the overall. It is believed that they will be equally active in script and creative input.
