Ranbir-Alia's Brahmastra has a strong opening day at the box office

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's much talked about film Brahmastra has made a strong first day at the box office and earned Rs 32 crore. Some media reports have said that the first day box office collection is Rs 36 crore.

Even without a holiday, the film has a collection record on the first day. Brahmastra has also beaten Sanju, Tiger Zinda Hai and Dhoom 3 which were released without a holiday.

The film is earning well in foreign countries as well. In Australia, the film earned Rs 1 crore on 83 screens and Rs 16 lakh on 23 screens in New Zealand.

Brahmastra has surpassed last year's Diwali release Suryavanshi in terms of opening day earnings. The first day earnings of the South version have been five crore rupees.

If the situation remains the same, there are possibilities that Brahmastra will collect Rs 100 crore in the first 3 days.
