Mumbai: After Elon Musk acquired Twitter, many Hollywood celebrities have left Twitter. Many people feel that this platform will no longer be the medium of free expression that it used to be.
Hollywood celebrities who quit Twitter include singer-actor Sara Bareilles, Josh Goad, Ron Perlman, Tea Leoni, Jamila Jamil, Shonda Rahim Ken Olin, Brian Kopelman, Alex Winter and Rob Reiner.
Grammy Award winner Sara Bareilles left Twitter saying, "It's been fun so far, but now I feel like this platform isn't right for me."
Actor Josh Gade of The Beauty and the Beast said that the amount of hate speech may increase on this platform. The Quest of Fire actor Ron Perlman said that Musk is welcome on Twitter, but I'm leaving now. Shonda Rhimes wrote that she has no intention of supporting anything Musk has planned. Grammy Award winner Toni Braxton said that since Musk acquired Twitter, the amount of hate speech has increased on Twitter in the name of free expression.
Now this platform is not safe for me and my family.
