- 'People were saying that Salman had given us an expensive car as a gift in our marriage. I still wonder where that car went? We didn't get it!'
Not only star kids are trolled on social media, but also the close relatives of stars. The latest example is Ayush Sharma. Salman Khan has launched many star kids from Sooraj Pancholi to Athiya Shetty and promoted heroines like Katrina, Jacqueline and Daisy Shah, but the most trolled of all is Aayush Sharma, as he is Salman's brother-in-law. Salman's youngest sister Arpita is Ayush's wife. Aayush and Arpita's destination wedding was nothing short of a fairytale. The Khan family spent a lot on the wedding.
Narrating his trolling torture in a media interview, Ayush says, 'Trolling of me and Arpita started right from our wedding. People were saying that Salman had gifted an expensive car in our marriage. I'm still thinking where did that car go? We didn't get it. Trolls get stomach aches whenever I go on vacation. They don't fail to comment that this man is wasting Salman Khan's money. To be honest I was not mentally prepared for such trolling earlier. I didn't know that one has to endure all this for being in the limelight. I have been trolled for personal reasons.'
On one occasion, Aayush Sharma talked about the sarcasm, sarcasm and criticism he had to endure for being Salman's girlfriend. Now its clips have become viral again. In the clip, Aayush says that my wife Arpita has been constantly trolled about her brunette van and body weight. However, Arpita is a very strong and confident woman. She is happy with herself. Trolls are not much affected by it.
'Even after marriage, there were various talks about my background and my ambition to become an actor. When my debut film 'Lavayatri' (2018) hit, there was so much hype on social media as if it was the only film that flopped in Bollywood. Some even said that I married Salman's sister to become an actor. When my second film 'Antim: The Final Truth' (2021) was announced, people trolled me saying Yeh Sirf Salman Khan Productions ki hi karta hai. He did not give any other work, even commented on Twitter that we do not want Aayush Khan. I believe being a member of a film family has its perks. How many people like me get the benefit of training under Salman Khan? But forgetting such privileges, now I am working hard to prove my talent to the audience,' says Ayush, who continues his troll chapter.
Of course, now Sharmaji has acquired immunity to face trolling. Says Aayush, 'Bhai once told me that you can stop all this Gokiro only by giving a good performance. Since then I have been prepared to deal with trolling thinking that you have to put up with it if you want to stay in this industry. It's a part and parcel of it.'
