- This is an insult to Ramayana and Sitamayya, do it in a hotel, not in a temple: Sadhu Santo Bhadkya: Huge uproar on the net too
Mumbai: Kriti Sen, who is playing the role of Sita in the Ramayana-based film 'Adipurush', has caused a huge uproar after the director of the film, Om Raut, kissed her in public in the premises of the Tirupati Balaji Temple. People have slammed Om Raut. Sadhu Sants, who were enraged by Om Raut's act, have issued a harsh warning saying that this is an insult to Ramayana and Sitamata and if you want to do such acts, do it in a hotel room, not in the temple premises. There has been an attempt to create a positive atmosphere for 'Adipurush', but this act of Om Raut has taken a blow. Earlier, the film has also been mired in controversies even before its release due to Saif Ali Khan as Ravana being made to look like a Mongolian invading ruler and not applying vermilion on Sita's head.
Recently, a grand event was held to launch the final trailer of this film in Tirupati. At that time, the entire team of the film went to visit the Tirupati temple. After Darshan, this team was telling each other to come. In that, Om Raut blew a kiss to Kriti Sen while saying goodbye.
As soon as this video went viral in the social media, people have become very agitated and are throwing a lot of outrage against such an act in the temple premises. At a time when Kriti is playing the role of Sitamata, it is being commented that the director should have shown restraint and discretion in public.
The abbot of Chikloor Balaji temple in Telangana strongly reacted to this act and said that this is a reprehensible act. Even legal husband and wife do not act like this in a temple. If you want to do this, book a hotel room. Your behavior is insulting to Ramayana and Sitamata. Local BJP leader Ramesh Naidu also tweeted opposing the move, but later deleted it.
Several people reacted on the internet and wrote that kissing is a natural gesture and can be done to show respect or affection but it would have been better if such a gesture was avoided in a temple premises. It also has 'Adipurush' a film based on Ramayana. Kriti is in the role of Sitamata. Netizens are saying that this act is reprehensible when they are trying to create a religious atmosphere by announcing that a seat is kept vacant for Hanumanji in every show of this film.
