Amar Upadhyay: The Art of Keeping Marriage Ever Green

Do you remember Mihir Virani from the television serial Kyun Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu? Amar Upadhyay, who was originally born in a Gujarati family in Ahmedabad and later brought up and studied in Malad, Mumbai, says, Look, I got married to Hetal at the age of 23. We got married with the blessings of our parents. Today after two decades I and my wife Hetal are very happy. The spring of love is flowing between us both. The bridge of understanding and responsibility between us both is strong. Our family is small but happy. I met Hetal for the first time at his house. To tell the truth, I liked Hetal's simplicity at first sight. In every conversation between us, I felt his honesty and simplicity. Well, I liked these virtues of Hetal and we became husband and wife with the blessings of our elders.

Amar Upadhyay, a chemical engineer at the University of Mumbai, reminiscing about sweet pre-wedding memories, says, "I vividly remember inviting Hetal to enjoy delicacies at the famous Gaylord restaurant in Churchgate." I knew that Hetal was very fond of beautiful, fragrant flowers, especially tulips and roses. So I took a bouquet for her. Hetal was really pleased to see the flower she liked. To tell the truth, Hetal said -- I love you -- to me for the first time in those fun days.

Well, that scent of pre-marriage bouquet is still intact in our two decades of married life.

Amar Upadhyay, who has also played different characters in TV serials like Kalash, Kasauti Zindagi Ki, Saathiya Saath Nibhana, Kusum etc., hails the virtues of his wife and says Hetal likes cleanliness. Keeps house and everything clean. As much as Hetal is a cleanliness lover, his nature is also calm, simple. While I am a bit hasty. Sometimes I get angry quickly. In such circumstances, if I look at Hetal, my angry fire is immediately extinguished. Hetal's calm and simple nature and truly practical attitude can help us take important decisions in our personal life and the entire family.

Amar says, after we got married, Hetal and I used to go to different places in Mumbai. As our relationship was built with the full consent of both our families, neither of us had any trepidation or worry. And that's why there was never any grudge between us during the time of Vevishal and marriage. To tell the truth, I and Hetal understood each other very well and truly during that period.

Amar Upadhyay and Hetal Upadhyay, who started their own TV show called Kyun Ki Tum Hi Ho, have two adorable children, son Aryaman and daughter Chenab. Both son and daughter are growing up. Amar presents an important point and says, we have two saints and yet today both me and my god wife Hetal are around 47 years old. We can enjoy personal life and family life to the fullest. Both of us are very fond of traveling, eating delicious food, watching movies, so we go to famous places in India. Let's go to unknown places near Mumbai and taste the local food there.

As the happiness and satisfaction in Hetal's heart and mind spread on his face, I also blushed with satisfaction. Even so, in Indian culture, the couple form of husband and wife has been considered as the most sacred. All I know is that my soul mate is the gravitational force behind our happy marriage and our bird's nest family.
