Subhash Ghai wrote the story of 'Janki' keeping Rekha in mind

A name always held in high esteem in the galaxy of filmmakers in India. Subhash Ghai, known as a showman in the Hindi film industry, has of late arrived as a producer on the small screen of television. Mukta Arts has forayed into television production with a TV show titled 'Jaanki'.

Talking about the creation of 'Janki', Subhash Ghai Mandi says, 'The idea of ​​this story was swirling in my mind for a long time. I originally wrote this story with Rekhaji in mind. But at that time I started the film 'Pardes' and this story was put aside. After that 'Tal' came and this story remained in my mind. As soon as I had this story, a TV channel requested me to give it. When I narrated the story to him, he loved it and allowed me to make a TV show out of it. This is how the work of this show started.'

When asked why you didn't make a film from this story, Subhash Ghai says, 'When we have a story, we develop it as an OTT, film or TV show. We can give any story any shape we want, but I think every story has a destiny and a time.'

In 'Jaanki', he has presented the talk of women's empowerment. He says, 'This is the story of a daughter, who faces rejection on many fronts in life and moves forward. He uses his strength to make the society aware of its mistakes. A daughter is not someone else's wealth, she is not a liability but an asset to her family and society. I even composed three songs for him in this show.'

Stating that his daily soap opera is of 208 episodes, Subhashji adds, 'This serial is being presented to millions of viewers of the country and the world on the national channel of Doordarshan. Viewers need to respect every woman. Women come before you in different forms. She exists in your life as a wife and daughter, but motherhood is so powerful in every woman that other aspects of it often become secondary. Motherhood never disappears from women. Today my daughter takes care of me like a mother. I have deep respect and love for women. Even your girlfriend behaves like your mother at one point.'

Subhash Ghai has joined the fray as a producer on TV to support the Prime Minister's Women's Literacy Mission. Subhash Ghai has been a very successful and very stylish filmmaker. Now, even though the era of OTT has come, but TV is still a powerful medium and Subhash Ghai will not be without shine here too.
