Ukrainian singer Uma Shanti insulted the tricolor during a live concert

While on one hand Independence Day 2023 was being celebrated across the country, on the other hand Ukrainian singer Uma Shanti has come into controversy by insulting the tricolor.

According to reports, the singer allegedly insulted the Indian national flag during a concert at a club in Pune's Mundwa. Apart from him, a complaint has also been filed against another person in this allegation.

A police officer informed on Tuesday that a complaint has been registered against famous Ukrainian singer Uma Shanti. The incident took place on Sunday night and was caught on camera. Later this clip went viral on social media.

According to media reports, a video of Ukrainian singer Uma Shanti insulting the tricolor went viral on social media platforms. After which a case was registered against Uma, the lead singer of the band Shanti People, in the Mundhwa police station.

According to the FIR, Uma Shanti, the frontwoman of the Ukrainian band Shanti People, danced with the tricolor in both her hands after which she threw the flag towards the audience. After which the video of this incident went viral on social media and people are getting angry.
