Akshay's 'Lakshmi Bomb' also in controversy, accused of promoting Love Jihad

Mumbai, 23rd October 2020, Friday

Akshay Kumar's upcoming film Lakshmi Bomb is also now embroiled in controversy.

After the release of the trailer of the film, some people are unhappy with its story. An organization called Rashtriya Hindu Sena has been accused of promoting love jihad on the film. The organization has written a letter to Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar seeking to ban the film.

Sharing the letter, Hindu Sena said, "We have demanded that action be taken against the cast and producer of the film as the film insults the Hindu Goddess Lakshmi Mata. If the name of the film is not changed, we will stage demonstrations outside the theaters at the time of release."

According to the organization, the title of the film also hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus. The producer also changed the name of the film. The film is named after a Hindu goddess. It is catastrophic to associate a word like a bomb with it. It is deliberately named to provoke Hindus. The hero is named Asif and the heroine is named Priya.
