Amidst the glitz and glamor of Hollywood, some high-profile celebrities have found themselves embroiled in real legal drama in the public eye. These stars have been accused of everything from lateness to concerts to sexual assault. With such interesting courtroom dramas, however, the glitter of celebrity fades and the gritty reality of life comes to the fore.
Madonna
Singer Madonna was sued by two fans for arriving two hours late to a concert in New York. Court documents revealed that both men claimed that they would not have spent the money on the tickets if they had known the show was going to be delayed. Fans have filed a lawsuit against the 65-year-old celebrity and tour operators, accusing them of misleading advertising, misrepresentation and unfair and deceptive trade practices.
Vin Diesel
56-year-old Vin Diesel has been accused of sexual assault by his former assistant Estha Jonas. The complaint states that the actor forced Jonasson during the shoot of Fast Five in 2010. She was fired within hours of the alleged assault, according to case documents filed in Los Angeles court.
Sofia Vargara
51-year-old actor Sofia Vergara has been taken to court by the family of Colombian drug queen Griselda Blanco for playing her character in a series. The show, called Griselda, is based on the story of Blanco and her descent into the underworld. The family of a well-known drug mafia queen has filed a case against Sofia for using her character without their consent.
Allen Rack
A case has been filed against 67-year-old actor Alan Rack for causing more than one car accident. One of the drivers in the case claims that Ruck was responsible for the October 31 crash in Los Angeles last year that injured several people and damaged vehicles.
Kevin Hart
Actor Kevin Hart YouTuber Tasha K. has sought a restraining order against and sued Tasha and her assistant Misha Shakes for alleged extortion. The actor claims that Tasha demanded a large sum of money to stop the interview between him and Shakes from being released. Kevin, 44, claims that someone associated with YouTube contacted his team and threatened to telecast an interview with Hart if they did not pay $2.5 million.
Mia Goth
A background actor has accused 30-year-old Mia Goth of deliberately kicking her on the head during a shoot in April last year. Prosecutors claim she suffered a mental breakdown after Goth hit her on the set of the upcoming film Maxine. Also the next day Goth laughed at her and the complainant was banned from the film set thereafter.
Alec Baldwin
Actor Alec Baldwin, 65, has recently been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Hayley Hutchins on the set of Rust. After verification it was found that the actor had pressed the trigger for the shot and charges were framed against him. Baldwin previously denied pulling the trigger.
