V was the beginning of the twentieth century.
Gertrude Bell, who grew up in the luxurious life of London, had no shortage of servants. The house was like a luxurious palace. Bell seemed to have a problem with that. She was fed up with the customs and hypocrisy of the rich society. Bell was suffocating in a life bound by certain policy-rules. The parents were watching the sculpture and Bell was rejecting them. Bell did not like bondage. Saying that, send me somewhere, India, Arabia .. anywhere. Exhausted by the young daughter's jealousy, Bell's father sent her to Tehran. Bell's uncle was the ambassador there.
Out of Britain's confined environment, Bell found a new world, new allies, and a new geography. This was the desert region against the pleasant climate of England, but here Bell got what he wanted, freedom! After arriving in Iran, Belle began to wander here and there. Henry, an employee at the embassy, was assigned to turn over the bell and stay with him. Both Bell and Henry were interested in the poetry of the Persian poet Umar Khayyam. Friendships don't last long.
Bell used to write in letters to his mother whatever he saw. As I have just started learning Persian, today we are going to ride a horse .. etc. Henry would take Bell on horseback to a nearby desert reservoir. Talking about caste there. Over time, the two began to like each other. One day in the alley market of Tehran, one day in the deserted fort .. both of them used to move around.
Father's paper arrived so one day Bell returned to London. Here he talked to the father that I like a boy. The father, believing that he was the leader in the society, refused to do so. The judge also said that after staying here for some time. Bell paused. Meanwhile, a letter arrived from Tehran stating that Henry had died. His body was found near a high rock in the desert. Bell realized that Henry had committed suicide because he could not get married. The love that grew in the desert was crushed by the difference between high and low. Belle shed tears for a while. Then decided to go to Iran again and wander in the desert.
In 1908, Bell arrived at the British Embassy in Amman. Officials there were shocked to learn that the Bell sister was going to examine archeological remains in the desert and study the Bedouin species that live in the desert. No men have gone there alone yet, you will go into it .. There were many such questions and attempts to intimidate. Attempts were made to stop Bell, but he escaped with a camel and some companions. Luckily he found loyal local colleagues. A caravan of four men and four camels advanced through the desert. However, the number of camels fluctuated according to the journey.
Some cavalry came from the front and instructed that you be arrested.
Why
Because you have invaded the territory of Turkey. Bell and his colleagues were ready for that. He proved by showing the paper that he goes into the desert only for research purposes, not a weapon. Not only that, he befriended the Turkish military team that came for the arrest, took photos of them. Sand dunes, thick undergrowth, a region of frozen salt somewhere, high rocks somewhere .. began to walk across. Reached the ruins of the city of Petra in Jordan. A team of British archaeologists was already present here, including the world-renowned British official TE Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia). The voyage was successful because Bell was exposed to as many as ten thousand years old fossils.
Shortly afterwards, they arrived in the Syrian city of Damascus. After a short stop, the caravan set out for the Druze Mountains in southern Syria. The Druze lived there and were anti-Turkish. In the desert, each species was at odds with the other.
Druze also grabbed them all and handed them over to his boss. The good news was that a woman named Bell was wandering in the desert. Because it was a new thing for a woman to wander in the desert like this. So there was no direct attack on Bell. Druze didn't either. Here, too, Belle befriended Druze. The tour was a success and the team reached Damascus again.
Bell found a purpose in life. To visit unfamiliar places in the desert, to know the inhabitants of the desert, to know their culture and to make the world aware of it. So the camel caravan set out in a new direction. Bell was interested in this desert that other British were not interested in because there was freedom. Break on independence in the ancient city of Hail in Saudi Arabia. The men at the town gate told Bell's team that no one but the woman could enter. Bell entered town and was imprisoned inside.
He was entertained till the Amir (King) of the town came. There was no question of getting out of here, as Aamir had decided to make a new queen. But Bell, who knew the rug of the desert and the desert dwellers, got out of there safely, which was a historic event.
And then the greatness of that Ranasundari increased so much that when it came to drawing borders between different countries in Arabia, Bell was kept as a mediator. Because the desert dwellers had as much faith in him as the British.
In the same desert town of Baghdad, Bell breathed his last at the age of 18.
When it comes to the names of great travelers, names ranging from sage importance to Columbus, Marco Polo, etc. are presented. But some women proved to be great travelers in which Bell is a leading name. Bell was posthumously honored by the British government, including the Order of the British Empire. The film, which introduces Bell to the world, is interesting even though it has failed financially.
