Mumbai: Southern superstar Rajinikanth, who underwent kidney surgery in the US a few years back, is on his way to the US to see the doctor who performed the surgery. He has just finished shooting one of his films a few days back, Rajinikanth is going to leave for America today for a routine checkup and for that he has chartered a special plane.

For this he had sought permission from the Central Government, which has been granted. He is also set to be a part of a film. Rajinikanth's son-in-law Dhanush is shooting for his film 'Gray Man'. It is learned that Rajinikanth will stay in the US for a while with Dhanush after a medical checkup.

The megastar has been freed from the grip of the corona virus and has also taken two doses of the vaccine. Soon Rajinikanth will be seen in Siruthai Shiv directed film 'Annathe' in which he is accompanied by Nayantara, Khushbu, Meena and Kirti Suresh, Prakash Raj, Satish.
