After watching Sushmita Sen in 'Arya', Madhuri Dixit in 'The Fame Game' and Raveena Tandon in 'Aranyak', Sonali Bendre also got the idea of returning to the acting field. Sonali liked the script of this web-show very much. 'Broken News' stars Jaideep Ahlawat as the head of a rival news channel and Shriya Pilgaonkar plays a fearless reporter. 'It took me time to come back as an artiste,' asserts Sonali. 'The digital platform was completely new to me. It was a whole new way of working. I had to learn a lot,' adds Sonali.
'Interestingly, director Vinay gave me a tough first scene, which I did well. After that I felt relaxed. By the time the first day was over, I was enjoying the whole process,' says Sonali.

I am avoiding anything that raises my blood pressure. 'Broken News' is not just about the media. We don't judge anyone. Yes, this show can prove to be a mirror for the society. The show tells viewers that there is a certain time to take a U-turn and learn something.'
