- The release of Salman's Tiger 3 may also be affected
- The release calendar of other films is also in chaos due to the possibility of 'Jawaan' being pushed back.
Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathan' released this year after a gap of five years. After that, a line-up of Shahrukh's films were to be released. But, with the possibility of pushing back the release date of 'Jawaan', there are talks of disrupting the release schedule of his other films as well.
There is a possibility that 'Jawaan' will release in October instead of next June. Meanwhile, the release of Shahrukh's 'Dunky' may be pushed back to 2024 instead of a December release.
According to trade circles, the fact that 'Pathan' is still running after 50 days means that there should be a gap of at least three months between Shahrukh's two big films. 'Pathan' in January followed by 'Jawaan' in 'June' and 'Dunki' in December were the gap between the dates. But, now with the possibility of 'Jawaan' being pushed back, the makers may have to re-plan.
There has been no official announcement regarding the postponement of the release of 'Jawaan' but as per the buzz in the film circles, the post production work on the film is taking longer than expected. In addition, Sanjay Dutt's cameo has been decided at the last minute and the shooting and post production will also go on. In these circumstances it is difficult to maintain the fixed date of 'June'.
Along with this, Salman's 'Tiger 3' is also scheduled to release during Diwali. It also has Shah Rukh in a notable cameo. Hence, trade circles are watching whether the makers allow a situation where 'Jawaan' and 'Tiger 3' are released back to back.
