Most of the young audience who go to the theater to watch a movie these days must have seen Bachchan Sahib's signature films like Deewar, Don, Mukaddar Ka Sikandar in the theatre. 1. Joy

People saw Amitabh Bachchan on screen for the first time in November 1969 with Khawaja Ahmad Abbas's 'Sat Hindustani'. Although people heard his voice earlier in May in filmmaker Mrinal Sen's 'Bhuvan Shome', Amitabh Bachchan got a break out with the character of Doctor Bhaskar Mukherjee in Rishikesh Mukherjee's 'Anand'. The film was a super hit. Later people started to know Amitabh Bachchan.


2. Chain

Before this film written by Salim Javed and directed by Prakash Mehra, Amitabh was often seen on screen but the talk of 'Chawai Jawa' was still pending. This feat happened in 1973 with 'Zanzeer'.


3. Sholay

In 1975, one of the most iconic films of Indian cinema, Sholay, was released. In which Amitabh was also accompanied by Dharmendra, but Amitabh's portrayal of Jai in 'Sholay' which had a 'Mudde ki Baat Karo' style and comic timing created an earthquake on the screen.


4. Porter

Manmohan Desai's 1983 film Bachchan Phenomena is a very important film. Everyone knows the story of Amitabh's horrific accident on the sets. In July 1982 his injuries landed him in hospital in critical condition and he remained in a coma for some time. Amitabh got the prayers of the Indian public and he returned to shooting in January 1983 and the ending of the film was changed. After which the film Coolie got a lot of love from the public and the car of Amitabh Bachchan's career started running faster than before.


5. Kon Banega Crorepati

There is disagreement on how many of Amitabh's flop films count in the 90s. But Amitabh Bachchan appeared on TV in July 2000. The name of the show was Kaun Banega Crorepati? Viewers were all set for Bachchan's comeback in a new avatar.

Amitabh Bachchan also took a business risk during which he formed Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited (ABCL) a company which suffered losses due to the failure of the mortuary and sponsoring Miss World. The damage was so severe that the Bombay High Court imposed a ban on the sale of his bungalow and two flats pending repayment of the bank loan. The effect of all this was that they got less and less work.

Meanwhile, he did a health check-up and found out that in the accident that happened on the set of Coolie, the hepatitis B virus had also entered the blood in which it was transfused and it had damaged 75 percent of Amitabh's liver.


6. Love

Major Sahib in 1998 was considered the beginning of a change in Amitabh's bad times. He is not only the senior officer of young star Ajay Devgan on screen. Almost was in the character of a father. In Mohabbatein, released in the year 2000, bringing this transformation to the screen, he once again met the new Bachchan in the role of Narayan Shankar, a contractor for children's education-cum-training in Gurukul.


7. Black

Bachchan, who first won the National Award for 'Best Actor' for 'Agnipath' in 1990, won his second National Award 15 years later for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Black'.


8. Piku

From Black started writing characters with Amitabh Bachchan in mind. Shoojit Sarkar, who had done Shoe Bait with Amitabh Bachchan, again challenged his inner actor and cast him in Piku along with Irrfan Khan, Deepika Padukone. After seeing Piku in 2015, critics once again hailed Mahanayak and he won the National Award for Best Actor.

He has an important role in the 2022 Bollywood film 'Brahmastra'. He is currently seen in theaters in 'Good Bye'. His film 'Unchai' is slated to release at the end of the year and he has a big role in 'Project K' in 2023 with Prabhas, Deepika Padukone.
