Govinda will be called to Odisha or then the police there will be interrogated in Mumbai
Mumbai: Odisha Police is likely to interrogate film star Govinda in the Rs 1000 crore crypto-Ponzi scam. Govindo acted as the brand ambassador of the company that launched the scheme to entice people to invest. Two lakh people across the country are said to have been duped in this scam. A company called Solar Techno Alliance ran an online Ponzi scheme without any approval. Govinda was also present in a function organized by this company in Goa. Govinda also acted in several promotional videos of the company.
According to the Odisha Police, Govinda will be called to Odisha for questioning or a police team will go to Mumbai for questioning.
However, the police do not currently see Govinda's role as a suspect in the scam. Only matters including his contacts with promoters will be questioned.
If it is found that Govinda's role was limited to professional promotion and that he had no other professional relationship with the promoters, Govinda may also be offered to testify as a prosecution witness.
