International star cricketer Virat Kohli faced many arguments for taking a break in the ongoing Test series between India and England. Some trolls tried to blame Anushka in this matter too. All speculations were finally put to rest when Kohli shared the news of son Akay's birth on his Instagram and X accounts. Along with this, people came to know that the player who scored 80 centuries in international cricket did not just write 'Proud Husband and Father' in the bio of his social media account for a hobby, he also took care of it. But, this was not the first time trolls targeted Anushka Sharma. When Virat Kohli was unable to score a century in a span of almost a year, navara Besi Nakhkhod trolls lashed out at Anushka as the reason. At that time, it was Virat who silenced the trolls with his performance. This pair of veteran cricket player and Bollywood's top actress has faced unwarranted opposition.

If you look at it, Virat and Anushka are not the only cricketer-Bollywood couple. K. L. Rahul-Athiya Shetty, Harbhajan Singh- Geeta Basra, Zaheer Khan-Sagarika Ghatak, Yuvraj Singh-Hazel Keech, Hadak Pandya-Natasha Stankovic along with former pair Azhar-Sangeeta Bijlani and Viv Richards and Nina Gupta who are not married but have a daughter. We all remember Jodi. But, none of these pairs faced trolls. But years ago, the pair of top Indian cricketer and Bollywood actress had to face many kinds of opposition. The husband is a legendary cricketer and the 9th Nawab of the Pataudi kingdom, while his wife is the one-time hottest actress of Bollywood. This contrasting pair had to listen to many bells and whistles from the orthodox society. Apart from the two religions being different, there is also a stark difference in the views of the two families. It is said that when Begum Sajida Sultan Ali Khan Pataudi, the cricketer's mother and eighth Nawab of Pataudi went to Mumbai to meet her son's future wife. There wasn't a wall in the city that didn't have a poster of the actress in a bikini. As soon as the actress noticed their arrival, she immediately called the producer of the film and pleaded that please remove all the posters for some time. It was actress Shamla Tagore who called the producer. The pairing of him and Nawab of Pataudi Mansoor Ali Khan has broken the bonds of time and given stars to Bollywood. Let's know about this royal family..

Love story of Nawab of Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore

In the year 1804, the British East India Company created a kingdom called Pataudi. Before that, Mohammad Faiz Ali Talab Khan Siddiqui, an Afghan Pashtun Muslim, became Nawab. Iftikhar Ali Khan Pataudi, the eighth Nawab of this family who came to India after the establishment of the Lodi dynasty, played first class cricket in India and England. The son of Nawab Iftikhar Ali Khan and the ninth and last Nawab of this dynasty, Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi became the captain of the Indian cricket team at the age of just 21. A vivid example of his strong self-effort is his Test debut. Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, who lost his right eye permanently in a terrible car accident in 1961, made his Test debut against England in Delhi six months after the injury. Nicknamed Tiger, this cricketer is considered as the greatest cricketer in the world. He captained 40 of the 46 Tests he played. It was under Tiger's captaincy that India achieved its first Test win abroad in 1967. India won this series against New Zealand by 3-1. It was Tiger who removed the tag of 'Losers' against the Indian cricket team. Under his leadership, the Indian cricket team started playing attacking cricket with its strengths, namely, four spinners.

Tiger's younger Hamidullah Khan was the last Nawab of Bhopal. Former Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shahyar Khan is his cousin. Tiger was once dating Simi Garewal. There was such a love between the two that Tiger used to meet Simi on the sets of the film Tin Deviya. But, one day Tiger meets Shamla Tagore and from there the story takes a twist.

In the year 1965, after a cricket match in Kolkata, a common friend escorted Tiger and Shamla to an after party. Meanwhile, both of them exchanged telephone numbers. Before this, Tiger had not seen Shamla's films and Shamla had no special knowledge about cricket. Over a period of four years thereafter, Tiger resorted to coffee dates along with roses and love letters to woo Shamla. Finally, Shamla answered yes to a love letter. Shamla said in an interview that he was impressed by Tiger's sense of humor. According to him, no one else could understand Tiger's jokes as he spoke English in a British accent. The main reason for this pair's success was their unwavering trust in each other. When Shamla did a bikini photoshoot for the film 'An Evening in Paris', her posters sparked controversy. Amidst the uproar, when Shamla informed Tiger, who had gone to play cricket in Britain, through a telegram, the reply came, "I am 100 percent sure that you will look very beautiful." During the trip to Paris, when Tiger asked Shamla near the Eiffel Tower, 'Will you marry me?' Shamla said yes, but with a condition, Tiger asked him to score a hat-trick of sixes in a Test match. Both finally got married on December 27, 1968. Shamla converted to Islam for marriage and had a new name, Begum Ayesha Sultana. They have three children: Saba Ali Khan Pataudi, Saif Ali Khan Pataudi and Soha Ali Khan Pataudi.
