Emraan Hashmi's voted makeover.

- 'An actor should separate himself from the box office figures. Box office failure is not proof that a film is bad. For an actor, the experience of working in a film is important.

Who doesn't remember that Maran Hashmi was once infamous as a serial kisser? Now, however, a new version of Imran is appearing on screen. For example, her role in Diwakar Banerjee's 'Shanghai' was a far cry from her kissable image. In 'Selfie', he played the role of superstar Akshay Kumar's fan, with gray shades. Finally in 'Tiger-3' he played the villain role opposite Salman Khan.

Emraan's off-screen friendship with Salman came in handy while working with Salman in the film. He says, 'Salman is a simple and humble person. There is no hypocrisy in it. He behaves as he is. There are some actors who you don't recognize even if you work with them for years, while you work with Salman for five minutes and you recognize him.'

About the experience of working with Salman, Imran says, 'I grew up watching Salman's films. I was shocked to suddenly get an opportunity to work with him. Of course, the roles of other actors in Salman's film are small. But having said that no roles are small or big, only actors are small or big. A character other than the hero can be very important to the story of the film. What is important is that every role makes a difference to the overall effect of the film.'

'Tiger-3' has been directed by Manish Sharma of 'Fan' fame. Emraan says, 'When Manish offered me the role of the villain, I initially refused, but when he told me the story and explained the entire graph of Atish's character, I was hooked. The character's backstory is such that Atish doesn't seem like a villain. He is outraged by what Tiger has done to him in the past.'

'Tiger-3' is Yashraj Banner's film. About the experience of working with producer Aditya Chopra, Emraan says, 'Adi has a vision for the entire film. He explained to me how he was looking at Atish. It helped me a lot. Talking about Katrina Kaif, she is a sincere actress and she is completely loyal to the director's approach.'

Imran is excited about the response from the audience about his new avatar. Most of the audience did not know till the end that the villain of this film is Emraan Hashmi. The film became a hit thanks to Imran. He concludes, 'Sometimes it happens that even though a film is good, it doesn't become a hit. An actor should separate himself from box office figures. Box office failure is not proof that a film is bad. For an actor, the experience of working in a film is important.
