Karan Johar: This romantic filmmaker is alone...

- 'Everyone has a specific place in life. Be it your friends, parents or your children. But if there is no intense romantic relationship, there will be a void that no one can fill.'

If a survey is done to find out who is the most controversial celebrity in Bollywood, Karan Johar's name will definitely come up. However, he doesn't seem to mind being in controversies. His talk show 'Koffee with Karan' has been running on controversies alone for so many years. Karan always wants the celebrities on his show to say something that will create controversy and increase the TRP ratings of the show, but in the current season of Koffee with Karan, Johar didn't expect it. This season was surprisingly cold. Complaining indirectly in a media interview, the producer-director says, 'There is a kind of change in people's behavior. Today's celebrities seem more anxious than before. They don't want to get into any controversy, that's why we had to change the language of rapid fire in the show, so that something can be learned from them. Once upon a time people have also answered questions about the most overrated and underrated actors, but today I don't choose to answer such questions myself, then how can I expect celebrities to answer them? Today we are going through a very sensitive time. Social media has made us very vulnerable. Everyone today wants to speak intelligently. I don't even like talking to myself anymore.'

Karan Johar, who has a mastery in making romantic films, is single (bachelor). Instead of romance, her life has emptiness. In the very first episode of the eighth season of his chat show, Karan talked to Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh about his emptiness and uchat. Talking to the media on the same topic, the filmmaker says, 'I have two children, whom I am raising with my mother. I have no life partner and I am single. I try to fill this single status by working a lot. Like me, many people try to forget their emptiness by working when they are single or lonely. It happens to them that they have many friends, family to fill the vacuum of life, but you are not successful in that. Nothing can make up for the lack of a deep romantic relationship. Everyone has a specific place in our life. Be it your friends, parents or your children. But if there is no intense romantic relationship, then there will be a void that no one can fill. I myself have not been in a relationship for over a decade so I can feel the lack. Fortunately, I can fill it with cinema. I can write about what I cannot feel. I can appear on the cinema screen.'

At the end, admitting that he suffers from anxiety, Karan says candidly, 'In 2016, I suffered from this disease and since the beginning of 2023, I have been facing it again. This can happen to anyone. I have no hesitation in saying that I am on medication and healthier than ever.'
